By constructing public garages, the aim is to achieve better regulation of stationary traffic and appropriate flow of moving traffic. Construction and furnishing of public garages in Zagreb began in the early 1990s. Zagrebparking Subsidiary currently manages nine public garages. Total capacity of public garages is 2849 parking spaces.
Tuškanac garage was awarded in 2009 by the European Parking Association as the most attractive newly built garage in 2008.
